Charles Robert King, 81, of Chloe

Charles Robert King, 81, of Chloe, died Monday, September 30, 2019, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown.

He was a retired employee of Ford Motor Co., Cleveland, Ohio and a member of the U.A.W., Local 1250, Brook Park, Ohio. Also, he was a member of the Linden Lodge No. 83, A.F. & A.M., Linden.

Survivors include his daughter, Melinda Sampson of Chloe; son, Charles Robert King, Jr. of Doylestown, Ohio; sisters, Patricia Sears of Chloe, Emogene and Kareen; brothers, Ford Drake of Clay County and Jerry Drake of Ohio.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou King; daughter, Mary Jane King; son, Clifford R. King; grandson, Cody; mother, Malinda Bell King; father, Otha Oren Drake; brothers, Harvey Hicks, Raymond, Jack and Mart Drake; sisters, Pauline, Ruth and Cleo.

There will be a gathering of family and friends from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, October 5 at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer. Burial, with Masonic Graveside Rites, will be at a later date.
