| Juanita L. Wright age 96 of Troutville VA, formerly of Glenville WV, departed this life on Monday, September 23, 2019 at the Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke VA. She was born December 23, 1922 in Gilmer County WV, daughter of the late Shirley and Hazel Osborn Westfall. Juanita was a graduate of Glenville High School, class of 1941 and a graduate of Glenville State College, class of 1945. She worked as a school teacher in Gilmer County for several years and after her children were born she cared for them through adulthood. Juanita is a long time member of the Glenville Trinity United Methodist Church and in her spare time, she enjoyed playing bridge, dancing, hosting events, decorating her village for Christmas, and spending time with her loving family, friends, and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. On July 16, 1946 Juanita was united in marriage to Bern Wright, who preceded her in death on January 28, 1987. Along with her husband and parents, Juanita is also preceded in death by her loving son, David Wright. Surviving are 2 children, Steven Wright and wife Barbara of Troutville VA and Anita Petties and husband John of Beckley WV. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren, Wes Wright, Jeff Wright, Bridgett Wimmer, Kim Earl, Christopher Wright, and Susan Petties; 15 great-grandchildren, Sarah, Rachel, Charlotte, Eli, Addy, Caleb, Brett, Grant, Grace, Dakota, Jackson, Maddy, Wyatt, Anisa, John, and a host of other wonderful loving family and friends. A graveside service will be conducted at the Stalnaker Cemetery in Glenville WV at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 28 with Pastor Doug Wright and Pastor Kenny Fisher officiating. Ellyson Mortuary, Inc. is honored to assist the family of Juanita L. Wright with arrangements.
