Carol Sue Romine, 77, of Spencer

Carol Sue Romine, 77, of Spencer, died Sunday, September 22, 2019 at Roane General Hospital, Spencer, after an extended illness. She was born April 22, 1942 at Beech, Calhoun County, the daughter of the late James Lee and Vada Hall McKown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Russell Romine in 2008; one step grandchild; sister, Ivy Hoskins; brothers, Gene, Bill, Junior and Glen McKown. Carol was a homemaker and mother. She enjoyed quilting. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Johnny Lee and Diana Romine of Broadway VA, Robert Brice and Martha Romine of Reedy WV, James Russell Romine of Spencer; daughter, Teresa Sue Robinette of Nashville TN; sisters, Phyllis Spurlock of Harmony WV, Barbara Miller of Putnam County and Bonnie Hockman of Hohenwald TN; nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two step grandchildren and four step great grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 25 at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. David Alvis officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Zona. The visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, September 24 at the funeral home. Condolences may be shared at   www.taylorfuneralhomeinc.com
