Virginia Ruth McCumbers, 83, of Orma, Calhoun County, WV went to be with the Lord on September 12, 2019.She was born on October 15, 1935. She was the daughter of the late Theodore and Mary Groves and had 10 siblings. Virginia had one of the biggest hearts and a smile that could light up any room. She was a homemaker, a mother of 14 children and did the best she could. She loved spending time with her children and her grandchildren. She also loved to sew, hunt, and shop for clothes. She was a strong woman of faith and will be missed and love by so many. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harold McCumbers, two sons, Billy Dale and Dallas McCumbers, two daughters, Brenda Falls and Evon Jarvis, sister Margie Nicholas, three brothers, Clark Groves, Smith Groves, and Boone Groves. She is survived by her 10 children, Betty (Albert) Siers, Bonnie (Larry) Laughlin, Danny (Jeanie) McCumbers, Coralee (Marvin) Jarvis, Gary McCumbers, Luke (Robin) McCumbers, Adam (Lena) McCumbers, Naomi (Dan) Hershberger, Helen (Rick) Goodrich, and Cindy (Jerry) Knight; granddaughters Heather (Alex) Yoak and Holly (Justin) McKown, great-grandchildren Bryant, Brealle, Barron, Braydon, Braylea along with 35 or more grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are siblings June (Virgil) Marks, Faye Norman, Joe (Sharon) Groves, Thelma Hall, Mae Lambert, and James (Judy) Groves. A funeral service will be held at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., Arnoldsburg, WV on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
