Kenneth Eugene "Gene" Satterfield, 70, of Millstone WV is now at rest. He went home September 7, 2019.He was born in St. Marys WV, a son of Betty Wise Satterfield and the late Kenneth Satterfield. He recently retired from his church, Sycamore Baptist Church, Mt. Zion WV. He also was retired from Kemper Sports Lesiak Group DBA Gold Club of WV. He had worked for Labor Union 1085. He was a US Marine Corps Veteran, stationed at Camp LeJeune and in Viet Nam in 1968 and was at Bethesda Naval Hospital. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Diana Starcher Satterfield whom he married August 9, 1969; sons, Brian (Tischa) Satterfield of Grantsville WV, Jody (Heather) Satterfield of Millstone; grandchildren, Tristan Satterfield, Haley Satterfield, Austin (Brittany) Satterfield, and Andrew Satterfield; and great-granddaughters, Emma of Parkersburg WV and Brystal of Millstone, they were the light in his eyes. Also surviving are sisters, Carolyn (Claude) Kelley, Debra (Rick) Day, Sherry Satterfield and her fiancé, Wally; and brothers, Rick, Darrell, Chuck, Gary, and Roger. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by brother, Edgar, grandparents, Marshall and Ida Satterfield and William and Rosa Wise. A memorial service will be held at the Satterfield residence, 1161 Daniels Run Rd., Millstone, WV on Friday, September 20, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., Arnoldsburg WV has assisted the Satterfield family with Gene's final arrangements.
