CALHOUN GRAND JURY INDICTS ELEVEN

The Grand Jury of Calhoun County met on September 3 with Judge Anita Harold Ashley presiding After hearing cases presented by Prosecutor Shannon S. Johnson, the Grand Jury returned the following indictments:

Ethan Garner Arnold, 22; James Scott Morford, 35; Roxie M. Troup, 29; and Zachary Ryan Troup, 29; were all indicted on two counts of Possession with Intent to Deliver and Delivery of a Controlled Substance, both felonies; and one count of Conspiracy, a felony. This case was investigated by Deputy C. J. Myers of the Calhoun Sheriff’s Department.

Eugene Madison Bowe, 59, was indicted on four counts of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender, all felonies. This case was investigated by Trooper First Class B. E. Young of the West Virginia State Police.

Brandy Jo Carpenter, 33, was indicted on one count of Burglary, a felony; two counts of Domestic Battery, both misdemeanors; one count of Destruction of Property, a misdemeanor; two counts of Obstructing an Officer, both misdemeanors; and one count of Public Intoxication, a misdemeanor. This case was investigated by Trooper First Class B. E. Young of the West Virginia State Police.

Jacob Dodd, 31, was indicted on one count of Grand Larceny, a Felony. This case was investigated by Deputy C. J. Myers of the Calhoun Sheriff’s Department.

Jacob Dodd, 31, and Eric J. R. Blake, 18, were indicted on one count of Possession with Intent to Deliver and Delivery of a Controlled Substance, a felony; one count of Fleeing in a Vehicle with Reckless Disregard, a felony; one count of Conspiracy, a felony; one count of Obstructing an Officer, a misdemeanor; one count of Fleeing from an Officer by Any Means Other than the Use of a Vehicle, misdemeanor; and one count of Conspiracy, a misdemeanor. This case was investigated by Deputy C. J. Myers of the Calhoun Sheriff’s Department.

Billy Ray Hardway, 58, was indicted on four counts of Possession with Intent to Deliver and Delivery of a Controlled Substance, all felonies. This case was investigated by Trooper First Class B. E. Young of the West Virginia State Police.

Joseph Alan Lamp, 42, was indicted on three counts of Soliciting a Minor via a Computer, all felonies; two counts of Use of Minors in Filming Sexually Explicit Conduct, both felonies; two counts of Distribution and Display to Minor of Obscene Matter, both felonies; two counts of The Use of Obscene Matter With Intent to Seduce a Minor, both felonies; and two counts of Distribution and exhibit of material depicting minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct, both felonies. This case was investigated by Trooper First Class B. E. Young of the West Virginia State Police.

Frederick Junior Tanner, 60, was indicted on four counts of Sexual Abuse by a Parent, Guardian, or Custodian, all felonies; three counts of Incest, all felonies; three counts of Sexual Assault in the First Degree Under Age, all felonies; one count of Distribution and Display to Minor of Obscene Matter, a felony; and one count of Sexual Abuse in the First Degree, a felony. This case was investigated by Deputy W. Raines of the Calhoun County Sheriff's Department.

Indictments returned against individuals are merely charges at this time and are not indications of guilt. All the above Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
