Today we display a number of stories we have done over the years about one of the most fascinating places in the Calhoun, Gilmer and Braxton area - the Bear Fork Wilderness.

A few years ago we threatened to place the tales in a book, but the interest was underwhelming.

Personally, it has been a rewarding part of my journey to delve into the life and times of the deep woods from whence sprung a number of Calhoun families.
