Opal M. (Parsons) Adams, 79, of Elizabeth WV, passed away August 24, 2019 at Worthington Care Center.The daughter of the late Manford and Ola Parsons, she was the loving wife of 62 years of the late Robert Lee Adams. Mrs. Adams enjoyed going to the Wirt County Senior Citizens, making apple butter, gardening, sitting on the porch watching birds and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her children Ada and Johnnie Ross of Elizabeth, Robert W. Adams of Elizabeth, Brenda and Jeffery Jeffers of Palestine, David and Amy Adams of Newark and Johnny Adams of Elizabeth; grandchildren Robert Ross, Christopher Ross, Ashley Adams, Joseph Jeffers, Jason Jeffers, Jeffery and Shelby Jeffers, Zachary and Abby Adams, Dustin Adams, Emily Adams, Noah Pursley and Sarah Carrin-Henderson; and great-grandchildren, Chase Ross, Wyatt Ross, Kaitlyn Ross, Myles Benson, Alivia Jeffers, Addisyn Jeffers, Piper Adams and River Adams; brothers Holly (Sara) Parsons, Sherman (Brenda) Parsons, Steven (Kim) Parsons; and a sister Barbara King; also several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by a brother-in-law Roger King. Funeral services will be 2 p.m, Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth with Rev. Bob Watkins and Rev. Delmas Stutler officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 27 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from noon until the time of the service. Interment will be at Pine Twist Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Mid-Ohio Valley Medical Group and especially Dr. Heavener. |
