BEAR FOLK WILDERNESS MAN HAS DIED - One Of 16 Children Born In Log Cabin

A Roane County man born in the Bear Fork wilderness has died, one of 16 children born in a log cabin in the Calhoun backwoods. 76-year-old Virgil Kyer of Reedy is being laid to rest in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. The life and times of the Kyer-Marks family was written for the Hur Herald in 2015.
