Mattie Summers Stump, 76, of Orma

Mattie Summers Stump, 76, of Orma, was born October 30, 1942. She went home to be with our Lord on August 8, 2019. She was the daughter of Ronzel and Ruth Wilson Summers.

Mattie is survived by her sons, Michael (Connie) Summers of Orma, Jeffery (Brenda) of Grantsville, David (Janet) of Orma, and Shannon of Orma. She is also survived by three grandchildren. Joshua (Shelley) Summers, Jessica Summers, and Aislin Summers.

Mattie is also survived by her brothers and sisters: Dina (Charles) VanSteenburg of Ohio, Ronald (Kathy) Summers of Orma, Sharon Shaffer of Orma, Victor (Carol) Summers of Arnoldsburg, Brenda (Bradley) of Orma, Roscoe (Julia) of Orma, Kenneth (Anita) Parks of Ohio, and a niece, who was raised by her parents, Patricia (David) Hickel of Orma.

Mattie is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, their spouses and children.

Mattie was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Milford Stump.

Mattie’s greatest desire was to see her loved ones in heaven someday. She went about her life zealously urging her loved ones and friends to give their hearts to Jesus.

She was of the Apostolic faith, an active member of the Full Gospel Lighthouse Church of Big Bend.

A graveside service and interment will take place at Orma United Methodist Church Cemetery on Sunday, August 11, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Mike Doherty officiating.
