Myrtle Ellen Taylor, 87, of Gandeeville, died Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Eldercare Health and Rehabilitation, Ripley. She was born February 10, 1932 at Vicars, Roane County, the daughter of the late Earlen Lawton and Elsie Gay Rhodes Harris. On the 24th day of September, 1951 at Harmony she was united in marriage with Harry Richard Taylor, who preceded her in death on the 9th day of November 1997. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Danny E. Taylor; brothers, Pete, Raymond, Junior and Jack Harris; sisters, Faye Hamon and Dolly West. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Cathy Taylor of Spencer; three grandsons, Timothy, Patrick and Anthony Taylor; sisters, Mary Anderson and Janette Anderson both of Gandeeville; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 28 at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Roger Carter officiating.
