Daniel Allen Parker, 42, of Gilmer County

Daniel Allen Parker age 42 of Upper Horn Creek Road, Gilmer County, WV, departed this life suddenly on the evening of Monday, July 8, 2019 at his residence following a sudden illness.

He was born September 10, 1976 in Wood County, WV, son of Cheryl Parker of Dankirk, IN.

Daniel enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing video games, listening to music, and loved cooking. He also loved playing with his beloved dog, Dark Angel.

On August 17, 2008 Daniel was united in marriage to Karen E. Freeland Parker, who survives at their Horn Creek home.

Surviving are 5 siblings, David Shaffer of New Milton, Alice Shaffer of Gassaway, Norma Shaffer Keen of Parkersburg, and Patricia Coe Keeton of Toledo, OH.

Also surviving is Daniels grandfather, Okey Shaffer of New Milton, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends.

Daniel is preceded in death by 2 siblings, Okie Shaffer Jr. and Irleen McKenzie and his grandmother, Patricia Parker and Steven Shaffer.

Daniels request for cremation has been honored and the family will have a celebration of life in honor of Daniel at a later date.

Ellyson Mortuary, Inc is assisting the family of Daniel Allen Parker with arrangements.
