James Timothy "Jim" LaGrone, 48, of Normantown

James Timothy "Jim" LaGrone, age 48 of Normantown, WV, departed this life suddenly on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at his cabin on the mountain following a sudden illness.

He was born April 13, 1971 in Paterson NJ, son of Jack H. and Diana Hoeger LaGrone.

Jim is a graduate of Gilmer County High School, class of 1990 and he worked on drilling rigs in the oil and gas industry. In his spare time, Jim enjoyed hunting, ATV riding, working on his cabin, and living the quiet life in the mountain.

Along with his parents, Jim is survived by 2 siblings Jack H. LaGrone Jr. and fianc'ee Wendy Palmer of Middle Run and Leslie LaGrone Winston and husband Brandon of Spotsylvania VA; 1 niece, Tia LaGrone, and 2 nephews, Anthony LaGrone and Tyler Winston.

Preceding Jim in death is his brother, Robert "Rob" LaGrone and his long term companion, Sandra Lilly.

A graveside service will be conducted at the LaGrone Family Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday July 16, 2019.
