GRANTSVILLE MAN INDICTED FOR FRAUDULENT CREDIT CARD - Stole Identity Of Another Man

(02/13/2003)
Christopher Todd Smith of Grantsville has been indicted by a Braxton County grand jury on felony charges of fraudulent use of a credit card, and taking the identity of another person.

Alleged incidents occured October 30, 2002 when Smith stole the wallet of Randolph Blaine Fluharty, who was involved in a fatal car accident.

Smith used his credit card to purchase an ATV in Braxton County.

The indictment was presented by Sergeant Ronald Clay of the Braxton County Sheriff's Department.

An indictment is neither a statement of guilt nor innocence. It simply states that enough information was found on the accused to warrant a jury trial.
