MINNIE HAMILTON LAUCHES $1.1 MILLION IMPROVEMENTS

(07/03/2019)
Minnie Hamilton Health System’s infrastructure improvements are set to begin mid July 2019 with the goal of providing a improved patient experience when they arrive at the MHHS campus, according to CEO Steve Whited.

Multiple projects aimed at improving parking access as well as traffic flow in and around the hospital and annex building will begin the week of July 15, 2019.

Efforts to widen the front parking lot at the hospital, making it easier to enter and exit the parking spots will begin with the removal of the landscaped flowerbed.

New sidewalks and added entry steps will provide a more efficient way to enter the lobby area of the hospital and doctor offices. In addition, new sidewalk and handrails will ensure the safety of all patients using our facility.

During these initial efforts as well as through the duration of the scheduled improvements, we ask all patients and community members to allow a little extra time and patience when navigating our parking lots and entries into the building.

It will be necessary for us to temporarily close the different areas while the improvements are being completed and this will cause congestion in the open areas. We will expedite these efforts as much as possible to minimize the impact, and thank you in advance for your understanding.

Whited said they will provide updates of the improvements as they are completed.

"As with all projects outside, weather will have the biggest impact on our ability to adhere to the timeline of completion we have in place, and we will keep the community update with the progress," Whited concluded.
