Gladys F. Duskey, 93, of Grantsville, WV went to be with the Lord, June 21, 2019, at Minnie Hamilton Health System, Grantsville, WV.She was born August 11, 1925 to French and Cora Frederick of Yellow Creek, WV. Gladys was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. She enjoyed simple pleasures in life, picking greens, and taking walks. Gladys enjoyed music, especially piano, and could play piano, guitar, and banjo. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved the Lord and her Bible. Proverbs 31:29 "Many daughters have done well, but you excel them all". She is survived by one son-in-law, Larry Marks of Grantsville; four grandchildren, Frankie Hickman of White Pine WV, Joey (Lisa) Duskey of Gilmer County WV, Stacy Hickman of Grantsville, and Jessica (Ricky) Bell of Big Bend; 11 great-grandchildren, Samantha Norman, Kayla Bremar, Brittany Duskey, Brian Duskey, Sarah Bell, Jasmine Hickman, Jakiah Hickman, Dalton Hickman, Jayden Hickman, Emily Bell, and Ariety Hickman; and four great-great grandchildren, Luca Stevens, Avery Norman, Natalia Bremar, and Jaxon Radar. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Russell Duskey; children Sherry Kay Marks, Joe Duskey, and Kathy Knight; and three sisters, Odell Wilson, Goldie Knight, and Ellen Hardman. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Rick Metheney officiating at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., Grantsville WV. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Interment will be in Taylor Cemetery, Yellow Creek Rd. Online condolences may be expressed at www.stumpfuneralhomes.com |
