| A Braxton County man is facing charges including strangulation and unlawful assault after he allegedly strangled his daughter and threatened others.
According to the indictment, Jody Lynn McCartney strangled his daughter and fired one round from a firearm near her feet.
McCartney allegedly pistol whipped one person and threatened to kill another if they told anyone what happened.
McCartney is facing charges of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance, strangulation, wanton endangerment, unlawful assault, and retaliation against a witness.
