Gail R. McCauley, 89, of Spencer

Gail R. McCauley, 89, of Spencer, died May 30, 2019, at CAMC General Hospital, Charleston.

He was born April 21, 1930, at Mill Creek, Randolph County, the son of the late Cecil and Viola Cowger McCauley.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Dorothy McCauley Rogers; sisters, Gladys Neighbor, Freda McCauley and Pauline Lint; brothers, Nelson, Denver, Oliver and Carl McCauley.

Survivors include his children, Gayle McCauley of Spencer, Ronald McCauley of North Fort Meyers, Fla., Robert McCauley of Spencer and Cindy (Roger) Moats also of Spencer; nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; brother, Neil McCauley of Mill Creek.

Mr. McCauley was a retired employee of Norris Industries, Spencer. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. His pastimes included spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing and spending time with family.

There will be a visitation Tuesday, June 4 from noon until 2 p.m. at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer. Military honors will be accorded by the WVANG Honor Guard immediately after the visitation.
