CAIN ROAD STRUCTURE BURNS - Authorities Investigating Cause

Fire destroyed a large vacant camper on Cain Road about 9 p.m. Friday night, the structure was fully involved when the Grantsville VFD arrived. Neighbors heard several explosions. The structure had been occupied by Brian Smith, who threatened local law enforcement several weeks ago and was shot. Also responding to the scene was the WV State Police, the Calhoun Sheriffs Department and Calhoun EMS. Authorities were investigating the cause of the fire.
