Martha Bell Shouldis, 85, of Gandeeville

Martha Bell Shouldis, 85, of Gandeeville, passed away May 23, 2019, at Roane General Hospital, Spencer, after an extended illness.

She was born December 21, 1933, at Cicerone, the daughter of the late Arnie and Lillie Parsons Harper.

On August 8, 1950, at Gandeeville, she was united in marriage to Charles E. "Jack" Shouldis, who preceded her in death on March 11, 2011.

She enjoyed her grandchildren, great grandchildren, flower gardening and watching the birds outside her window.

She will be missed by her son, David Shouldis; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Mark Richards; brothers, Freddie (Charlotte) Harper, Oris (Johnnie) Harper, Leonard Harper and Roger Harper; sister, Carol (Lewis) Halstead; grandchildren, David Shouldis, Sara (Michael) Anderson, Brodie Richards and Kylie Richards; great grandchildren, Lucas, Dawson and Jozie Shouldis, Triton, Talon and Timber Anderson; many nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Danny Shouldis; sisters, Leona Parsons and Hazel Cox.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 25 at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Russell B. Stump officiating. Burial will be in the Ferrell Cemetery, Vicars Ridge, Gandeeville. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
