Calhoun authorities responded to an incident shortly afternoon on Cain Road, off Norman Ridge, where Brian Smith, 30s, allegedly brandished a knife on a Calhoun deputy sheriff C. J. Myers.Myers was attempting to serve a capias warrant on the individual. The WV State Police and a DNR officer responded to the scene. Reports indicated the man before he could be placed in restraints fled over the hill into the woods.
