Arnold Lee Schoolcraft, 78, of Sistersville

Arnold Lee Schoolcraft, 78, of Sistersville, died Friday, Apr. 12, 2019, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown.

He was born in Calhoun County, the son of the late Lonnie Schoolcraft and Margaret Jane Cogar Schoolcraft. He worked at Marble King and Precision, and was a member of Tyler Rod and Gun Club, Moose Lodge 931 and Bear Fork Hunting Club. He was a former Sistersville High School band chaperone.

Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Mary Lou Hartline Schoolcraft; one sister, Colleen Bray of Clinton, Ohio; three daughters, Marcia Toman of Paden City, Sharon Loken of Marietta, Ohio, and Deborah Sweeney of Sistersville; two sons, Roger Schoolcraft of Sistersville and Parnell Schoolcraft of New Martinsville; four grandchildren, Alison Zwick of Sistersville, Jessica Martin of Hopewell, Va., Amy Toman of Birmingham, Ala., and Nick Racer of New Martinsville; and three great-grandchildren, Parker Zwick, Dexter Zwick and Jade Schoolcraft.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Loiraine Dillion, Zee Blosser and Dorothy Yoak; one brother, Arlan Schoolcraft; and one granddaughter, Nicole Schoolcraft.

At Arnold’s request, his body was donated to J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital.
