BURNSVILLE GETS $1.5 MILLION TO FUND WASTEWATER PROJECT

Funding is being distributed from a $13.1 million Community Development Grant awarded to the state by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Grant funding will be used for various water, wastewater and broadband improvement projects. The town of Burnsville is getting $1.5 million to fund wastewater improvement. The project will allow for the replacement of outdated critical components of the system to correct inflow and infiltration problems, improving service for more than 550 people and several businesses.
