Ronald B. Craddock, 79, of Rittman, Ohio, died Wednesday, April 03, 2019, at his residence following a period of declining health.

He was born April 30, 1939, in Rocksville, West Virginia, to the late Glover and Ellen (Slider) Craddock and lived most of his life in Rittman.

Ronald graduated from Calhoun High School in Grantsville, West Virginia in the class of 1955. Following graduation he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he proudly served his country from 1958 to 1962. A highlight of his life in the last few years was the dedication of the Craddock Brothers Veterans Bridge in Arnoldsburg, West Virginia. Six of the seven brothers served their country in each branch of the military.

He was employed by the former Packaging Corporation of America and Caraustar in Ashland where he retired following 35+ years of service in 2002. He was a lifetime member of the VFW, Rittman Moose Lodge #860 and the Wadsworth Eagles #2117.

He enjoyed being outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He also was active in coaching little league in Rittman for many years.

Surviving are sons, Ronnie (Menetta) Craddock of Rittman and Barry Craddock of Wooster; 4 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brothers, Larry Craddock of Arnoldsburg, West Virginia, Harold (Betty) Craddock of Grantsville, West Virginia, and Homer (Nancy) Craddock of Rittman; sisters, Hope (Randall) Roberts of Vienna, West Virginia, and Linda Craddock of Creston, West Virginia.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Doyle, Leo and Gale Craddock.

Services will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Auble-Gillman Funeral Home, 360 W. Sunset Dr., Rittman with Rev. John W. Castle officiating. Burial will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at 12:30 p.m.

Friends may call from 4 to7 p.m. on Monday, April 8 at the funeral home.
