James Wesley "Jim" Wiseman, 73 of Parkersburg

James Wesley "Jim" Wiseman age 73 of Parkersburg WV, formerly of Smithville WV, departed this life on the evening of Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at the Eagle Pointe Nursing Center in Parkersburg, following an extended illness.

James was born November 1, 1945 in Troy WV, son of the late Teddy R. and Lottie Butcher Wiseman.

James is a graduate of Troy High School, Class of 1963 and also a graduate of Nashville Auto/Diesel college. He worked for Bonnell Machine Shop in Berea WV for several years and then Eastern American, Inc. near Glenville, having retired in 2015 with 30 plus years of service. In his spare time, James enjoyed refurbishing tractors and attending Glenville State College Basketball games. James also enjoyed watching tractor pulls, running his tractors in local parades, and attending the Buckwheat Festival in Preston County WV.

Surviving is his daughter, Kelley Jo Wiseman of Bradenton FL; and 3 sisters, Helen Louise Riddle (Harold) of Elyria OH, Hannah Virginia McCune of Parkersburg WV, and Mary Wilma Alltop (Robert) of Troy WV.

Also surviving is special friend, Christina Jones (Jeff) of Brohard WV, and step-daughter, Trisia White (Dave) of TN.

A funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc., 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville WV at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2019 with Pastor Bryan Groves officiating. Burial will follow in the Carder Cemetery in Vadis WV. Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m. Sunday evening at the mortuary in Glenville.

In lieu of flowers the family of Jim request memorial contributions be made to your local Alzheimer's Association in his honor.
