Mary Lee Whipkey Nichols, 86

Mary Lee Whipkey Nichols, 86, passed away Monday, March 18, 2019 at Lower Cape Fear Hopsice & Life Center in Wilmington NC.

She was born December 4, 1932 to the late Kenneth Whipkey, Sr. and Gladys Kelley Whipkey of White Pine.

Surviving are two sons, Steven Jay Vaughan-Nichols of Asheville NC, David Nichols of Santa Rosa CA; one daughter, Loretta Nichols Hines of Wilmington NC; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; one sister, Edna C. Whipkey of Wilmington NC; and two brothers, Kenneth Whipkey, Jr. of Grantsville WV and Francis D Whipkey of Belpre OH.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jay A. Nichols; her son, Jesse Lee Nichols; and her granddaughter, Sara Nicole Hines.

Services will be held at Five Forks Community Church, Five Forks WV on Thursday, March 28th at 1 p.m. with Rev. Alfred Hickman officiating. Visitation will be prior to service from 12-noon - 1 p.m. Burial will be at Kight Cemetery, White Pine WV.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations be made in her memory to Five Forks Community Church, c/o Sandy Osborne, 403 Broomstick Rd, Big Bend, WV 26136.
