Wilford Goff "Bud" Bush, 77 of Tanner

Wilford Goff "Bud" Bush, age 77 of Turkey Lick Rd, Tanner, West Virginia, departed this earthly life on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at his residence near Tanner following an extended illness.

He was born January 7, 1942 in Gilmer County, son of the late Wilford and Nellie Goff Bush.

Early on, Bud was a welder and roofer in Cleveland, Ohio. In the early 70's he began working for Glenville State College as a custodian, having retired in 2002, with 31 years of service. In his spare time, Bud enjoyed playing music, singing, gardening, being outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.

Surviving is Anna Lamb and husband John of Weston, whom Bud always considered his daughter and Jean Weese of Glenville who has been his companion for the last seven years.

Also surviving is his sister, Bonnie Allison of Tanner, special nephew, Tim Nolan and wife Amanda of Parkersburg, WV, and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and family and friends.

Along with his parents, Bud is preceded in death by his long term companion Joy Sears; 3 siblings, Mary Engle, Bernard Bush, and Phyllis Lawson, and his beloved cats Sissy and Boots.

A funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc., 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2019 with Rev. Ronzel Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Liberty Cemetery near Glenville. Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m. Monday, March 18, at the mortuary in Glenville.
