HUNTINGTON SHOOTING - The Huntington Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating a man wanted for malicious assault in connection with a shooting. Police say Joshua Lemos, 25, of Proctorville, Ohio is wanted after a shooting that took place in the 400 block of 29th Street on March 1st, 2019. Police say he should be considered armed and dangerous. BECKLEY MURDER - Beckley police said a man has been charged in a fatal shooting after an officer took the armed suspect into custody. Ramon Isaiah Edwards III, 23, of Beckley is charged with first-degree murder and 13 counts of wanton endangerment in Wednesday’s shooting of a 23-year-old male, according to a post on the Beckley Police Department’s Facebook page. Police responded about 11:40 p.m. to 410 Second St. after a reported shooting and discovered the man had been struck by gunfire multiple times. The man was transported to Raleigh General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police said the officer encountered an armed suspect and took Edwards into custody. The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family members. Edwards is currently being held in the Southern Regional Jail.
