Rose May Young, 59, of Spencer

Rose May Young, 59, of Spencer, died Monday, March 11, 2019, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

She was born May 1, 1959, at Spencer, the daughter of the late William B. "Dave" and Wilda Fox Young.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Silas Rhodes; and brother, William B. Young, Jr.

Rose was a retired CNA. She was a former employee of Roane General Hospital, Miletree Center and Roane COA. Rose was also a lifelong resident of Roane County.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Denny and Julie Rhodes of Leroy; granddaughter, Bella Rhodes also of Leroy; brothers, Richard Young and Randy Young both of Spencer, David Young of Looneyville; sisters, Lilly Rogers of Valley Fork and Tammy Castle of Ripley.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 15 at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Jonathan Larrison officiating. Burial will be in the Young Cemetery, Linden. The visitation will be one hour before the funeral.
