James Carl Rogers, 80, of Newton, died Sunday, February 24, 2019, in the Roane General Hospital Skilled Nursing Unit, Spencer. He was born June 12, 1938 at Valley Fork, the son of the late Henry Winston and Florida Mae Wayne Rogers. Mr. Rogers was a retired 32 year employee of Kellwood, in Spencer. Survivors include a daughter, Angela Rogers of Gandeeville; son, David Rogers of Evans; brother, Winford Rogers of Valley Fork; two grandsons, two granddaughters and one great granddaughter. A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 5 at the Hively Cemetery, Valley Fork. There will be no visitation. John H.
