WALKING IN A WINTER WONDERLAND - Schools Closed, Few Accidents And More Winter Coming

It has been a beautiful snow, the clinging variety that changes the landscape.

Lots of Herald readers, those in warmer climates, enjoy the snow pictures, so scan down.... Few accidents have been reported, although a vehicle went over the hill near the Calhoun County Park during the early morning hours.

Most area schools are closed today, eating away at Spring Break days.

Here is the current weather update:

This Afternoon (Friday):

Considerable cloudiness with a chance of snow showers. An inch or less of afternoon accumulation. Highs in the mid 30s. Northwest winds around 10 mph. Chance of snow 40 percent.

Tonight:

Mostly cloudy with a chance of snow showers early...then mostly clear. Lows near 10 above. Light west winds. Chance of snow 30 percent.

Saturday:

Mostly sunny. Highs in the lower 30s. West winds 10 to 15 mph.

Saturday Night:

Partly cloudy. A slight chance of snow showers late. Lows in the lower 20s. Chance of snow 20 percent.

Sunday:

Mostly cloudy with a chance of snow showers. Highs in the mid 30s. Chance of snow 30 percent.

Sunday Night:

Cloudy with a chance of snow showers. Lows in the mid 20s. Chance of snow 40 percent.

Monday:

Mostly cloudy with a chance of snow showers. Highs in the mid 30s.

Tuesday:

Partly cloudy with a chance of snow showers. Continued cold. Lows in the upper teens and highs in the upper 20s.
