911 SERVICE BEING RESTORED - Some Landline Service Restored By Monday Evening

911 service was being restored Monday evening, according to Julie Sears, OES/911 Director. Some phone service had been restored to some parts of Calhoun Monday evening. Frontier does not release outage numbers. Some long distance service appeared intermittent. A 12-hour wind storm swept over Calhoun, downing trees and poles, with a number of dwellings being crunched by downed trees. Winds gusted up to 40 plus miles per hour.
