Shelby Ray Lupardus, 95, Paintsville

Shelby Ray Lupardus, 95, Paintsville KY, died Monday, February 11, 2019, at Mountain Manor of Paintsville.

He was born September 29, 1923, at Dawes, Kanawha County, a son of the late Frank Matthew and Sarah Edith Snyder Lupardus.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia; sisters, Marie Wilson, Goldie Taylor and Pauline Dye; and stepbrother, Little Jim Snodgrass.

Mr. Lupardus was a retired farmer. He was a 20 year member of the Tip Top Church, Tip Top KY.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Frankie Lupardus of Oil Springs KY; granddaughters, Mary Elizabeth Butcher of River KY, and Carla Faith Lupardus of Oil Springs; great granddaughter, Anna Grace Butcher; several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 16 at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Larry Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Snodgrass Cemetery, Gandeeville.

The visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Friday, February 15 at the funeral home.
