Phyllis Ruth Alkire, of Gassaway

Phyllis Ruth Alkire (née Beall), born January 4th, 1929 of Gassaway, West Virginia passed from this life on February 13th 2019 to reunite with her loving husband, Denzil Alkire. Together, she and Denzil touched many lives from Hawaii to New York City doing God's work as missionaries of the Mormon faith.

Phyllis was a wonderful mother and successful businesswoman. Her ability to persevere is admired by all who knew her. She enjoyed her extensive genealogical research, sewing and spending time with her family.

She was a loving and dedicated mother to her surviving children, Vance Gainer (Nancy); Glenadine Schiefer (Willie); David Gainer (Judy); Deborah Jones (Mark); Dienna Robinson; and Nancy Barger (Clyde).

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Judson H. Beall and Versta I. Harrison of Burnt House, West Virginia, and brother, Judson H. Beall.

She is survived by her siblings, Robert Beall, James Beall and Daniel Beall, 16 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends who will miss her dearly and forever cherish their memories of her.

Service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway, WV with President Jacob Harmon officiating. Interment will be in the Beall's Mill Cemetery, Gassaway.

Friends may call 2 hours prior to service at the funeral home.
