FIRE DOES EXTENSIVE DAMAGE TO CABOT STATION DWELLING

Firemen responded to a house fire on West Little Kanawha Highway near Cabot Station Monday night.

The dwelling suffered extensive damage, but firemen were able to save the main structure.

The Grantsville and Arnoldsburg VFDs responded to the call at 10 p.m.

Sources at the scene said the dwelling had been owned by Dick Ullum, but was recently to be occupied by the Toppings family.

The house was about two miles west of Grantsville along State Rt. 5.

The WV Fire Marshals office was being contacted to investigate.
