Harold Lee Lowe, 90, of Spencer

Harold Lee Lowe, 90, of Spencer, West Virginia died January 28, 2019 at his home after a short illness.

He was born May 20, 1928 in Roane County, West Virginia a son of the late Lee Lucas and Alcie Jaco Lowe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Jane T. Lowe.

He was retired from the Jewel Tea Company in 1991, formerly worked in auto data service and was a US Army veteran. He was an active Methodist churchgoer and was a very active member of the Lions Club in Spencer and Chicago, Illinois where he held several offices. He volunteered with the Roane Recycling Center, participated in local bowling leagues and served as an officer with the annual Mt. Nebo Gospel Sing.

Harold is survived by his wife, Frances Miller Ball Lowe; one daughter, Debra Lowe of Villa Park, Illinois; one granddaughter, Sasha Christensen of Texas; and one brother, Darol Lowe of Spencer.

Per his request, the body was cremated. His ashes will be buried at a later date at the Round Knob Cemetery near Spencer.

TAYLOR-VANDALE FUNERAL HOME, Spencer, is in charge of arrangements for the Lowe family. There will be no service or visitation at the funeral home.
