Matthew Wayne Williams, 38, of Grantsville

Matthew Wayne Williams, 38, of Grantsville, West Virginia, passed away unexpectedly, Monday, February 4, 2019.

Matthew was born August 17, 1980, and was a lifelong resident of Grantsville.

He worked at the Minnie Hamilton Health System, as a lab technician, and enjoyed his profession and his many co-workers and friends that he made along the way.

He loved his family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them. He graduated from Calhoun High school in 1998.

He is survived by his mother Kathy Richards Barr of Grantsville, WV; father Roy (Butch) Williams of Big Bend, WV; sister Valarie (Patric) Cook of Grantsville; the apple of his eye-his nephew Noah Cook of Grantsville; and step-father, Steve Barr, paternal grandmother Omagene Eagle Williams, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother "Granny" Pauline Richards, maternal grandfather Orland Richards, paternal grandfather Dale Williams, and his uncle Donald Ray Williams.

Services will be held on Monday February 11, 2019 at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., Grantsville. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. funeral service will be at 7 p.m. with pastor Roger Dale Williams officiating.
