Mark F. Schreffler 78, of Linn

Mark F. Schreffler 78, of Linn, West Virginia, passed on January 20, 2019 at Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Born April 16, 1940 in Dornsife, PA, he was the son of the late Frazier and Irene (Latsha) Schreffler. He was the husband of Betty A. (Beachel) Schreffler for 57 years. They resided in Dornsife PA until July, 2018.

Mark served in the Pennsylvania National Guard and was a member of the American Legion. He was employed as a mechanical draftsman by Kennedy Van Saun in Danville PA for over 30 years. He was a long-time member of the former Rebuck Wesleyan Church and served as treasurer for 25 years. He currently attended the Sand Fork Church of God and Prophecy.

Mark was a born again Christian who dedicated his life to serving his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He loved to play golf, hunt, wood work, and spend time with his beloved family.

Survivors include his wife; children, Lisa Wood and her husband Theodore of Dornsife PA, David Schreffler and his wife Melissa of Allentown PA, Rachel Brown and her husband Duane of Linn WV and Michele Hughes and her husband Barry of Herndon PA; grandchildren who knew him as Pappy, Michael Strahan, Angelina Salabarria, Zachary Schreffler, Nathaniel Schreffler, Kristin Bump, Joshua Brown, Natasha Brown de Nieto, Justin Brown, Alisha Shiffer, Tiffany Hughes; and 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ellen Schreffer, Betty Lou Schwab.

He was predeceased by sister Pauline Wolf; brothers Ray Beissel and Carl Schreffler.

Funeral services will be held at 12 pm on Friday January 25, 2019 at The Hub Wesleyan Church, 1329 Schwaben Creek Road, Dornsife PA. Viewing will be held from 10am to 12pm, also from the Church. Internment will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The Hub Wesleyan Church or the Sand Fork Church of God and Prophecy, P.O. Box 320, Sand Fork, WV 26430.
