Harold Lee James, 80, of Glenville

Harold Lee James, age 80 of Glenville, WV departed this life on the evening of Sunday, January 20, 2019 at the Genesis Health Care, Glenville Center following an extended illness.

He was born June 8, 1938 in Gilmer County, son of the late Butcher and Lauuna Bennett James.

Lee is a United States Army Veteran, serving his nation well and proud from 1960-1962. He worked for Hardman's Hardware in Glenville for 33 years, having retired in 2000. In his spare time, Lee enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.

Lee is survived by his nephew, Harlan Keith James (Michelle)and nieces, Anita Vincent (Troy) both of Ohio, and Mary Beth Cochran (Travis) of Sand Fork, great nieces and nephews, Allison Bates (Chris), Austin Bates, and Alyssa James, Billy Cochran great uncle, Samual A. James of Parkersburg, and long term companion, Nora Jean Dye of Glenville. Along with his parents, Lee is preceded in death by 3 brothers, Harlan, Charles, and William James.

A funeral Service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc; 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville WV at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 26, 2019. Burial will follow in the Meadow Lane Cemetery in Glenville. Friends will be received from 12 noon- 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the mortuary.
