Everett Lee Wears, 95, of Port Clinton, OH

Everett Lee Wears, 95, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away, Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, OH, surrounded by his loving family.

Everett was born on February 25, 1923 in Orma WV, the son of Lona and Emma (Wilson) Wears. On December 02, 2000, he married Freda M. White and she survives.

Everett worked as a maintenance man for the U.S. Gypsum in Port Clinton, OH. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving during WWII. Everett will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory are: Loving Wife: Freda M. Wears; Daughters: Barbara Honas, Connie Crawford, Sheri Wears and Geraldine (Bill) Skinner; Son: Michael Wears; Step-Daughters: Loretta Sampson & Carol Swearingen; 19 Grandchildren, 38 Great-Grandchildren and 11 Great-Great-Grandchildren.

Everett was preceded in death by his parents, former wives: Beatrice Carpenter Wears & Lear Butler Wears, sons: Dale & Larry Wears, step-son: David Booher, daughter: Laura Wears, brothers: Wilbur & Delbert Wears, sisters: Elanor & Cleo Wears, Audrey Curtis & Madeline Butler and grandson: Jim Williams.

Funeral services was held Monday, January 14, 2019, in the funeral home. Interment was in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton, OH, with a military graveside service.
