Kenneth D. "Kenny" Nichols, 77, of Spencer, West Virginia, passed away on Monday, January 14, 2019 at the Miletree Center in Spencer. Kenny was born July 20, 1941 in Spencer, a son of the late James Charlie and Arthelia Knopp Nichols. He was foreman of a juice factory in Florida and also at Monarch in Hartville, Ohio. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Frances Jenkins and Louella Ridenour; and four brothers, Rev. Howard, Bernard, Reuben and Boyd Nichols. He is survived by one son, Caleb Nichols and his wife, Amy, of Newport News, Virginia; one sister, Jewell Carpenter (John) Kelly of Spencer; three brothers, Gary (Barbara) Nichols of Spencer, Donald (Berdeal) Nichols of Hartville, and Leroy Nichols of Canton, Ohio; three grandchildren, Elyssa, Ben and Lily; and several nieces and nephews. Per his request, the body was cremated. A graveside memorial service and burial of his ashes will take place at a later date in the Otto Cemetery near Spencer. TAYLOR-VANDALE FUNERAL HOME, Spencer, is in charge of arrangements for the Nichols family. There will be no visitation or service at the funeral home.
