Kenneth D. "Kenny" Nichols, 77, of Spencer

Kenneth D. "Kenny" Nichols, 77, of Spencer, West Virginia, passed away on Monday, January 14, 2019 at the Miletree Center in Spencer.

Kenny was born July 20, 1941 in Spencer, a son of the late James Charlie and Arthelia Knopp Nichols. He was foreman of a juice factory in Florida and also at Monarch in Hartville, Ohio.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Frances Jenkins and Louella Ridenour; and four brothers, Rev. Howard, Bernard, Reuben and Boyd Nichols.

He is survived by one son, Caleb Nichols and his wife, Amy, of Newport News, Virginia; one sister, Jewell Carpenter (John) Kelly of Spencer; three brothers, Gary (Barbara) Nichols of Spencer, Donald (Berdeal) Nichols of Hartville, and Leroy Nichols of Canton, Ohio; three grandchildren, Elyssa, Ben and Lily; and several nieces and nephews.

Per his request, the body was cremated. A graveside memorial service and burial of his ashes will take place at a later date in the Otto Cemetery near Spencer.

TAYLOR-VANDALE FUNERAL HOME, Spencer, is in charge of arrangements for the Nichols family. There will be no visitation or service at the funeral home.
