The NWS weather service said an advisory is in effect from 4 a.m. Saturday to 7 a.m. Sunday for these counties in West Virginia: Wood, Pleasants, Tyler, Roane, Wirt, Calhoun, Ritchie, Doddridge, Braxton, Gilmer, Lewis, Harrison, Taylor, Upshur, Barbour, northwest Webster and northwest Randolph. In Ohio, counties included under that advisory are Athens, Vinton, Meigs and Jackson.

The forecast has become a little shaky with southern winds.

Total accumulations of 2 to 4 inches are possible in those areas, with locally higher amounts of up to 5 inches are possible. A rain-snow mix is possible.
