David Franklin Cunningham, 71, of Smithville WV, went home to be with the Lord, December 31, 2018.

It was very difficult for our family to say goodbye to him, as we will greatly miss him. Our prayer is that the hope of the resurrection will sustain all of us and help us to face life and death with the courage he lived his life.

David was preceded in death by the love of his life, Deborah Kay Cunningham; Sharon Sue Williams (sister); Alice Mae Cunningham (mother); Nola Cunningham (aunt); Paul Blosser (son); Frank Cunningham (father).

He is survived by brothers, Bob Cunningham, and Kenny Cunningham of Grantsville, WV; his children Mark Cunningham (Iva Cunningham) Steven Cunningham, Robin Roberts (Juanita), Johnny Blosser (Eve Parsons Reed).

He was a passionate and caring man that was dedicated to his family. He was an honest man and as he put it, "I get up every day and put my pants on one leg at a time like everyone else and you get what you earn."

David was an avid hunter and enjoyed working on his Bronco. You could find him watching wrestling on any given night. He truly was a rebel at heart. His legacy will live on through his children and grandchildren. His work here is done now and he can rest easy with Debbie. We all are grateful to be his family.
