Molly C. Caldwell, 67, of Spencer, WV went home to be with the Lord following an extended illness on Thursday, December 20, 2018. Molly was born on October 13, 1951 in Akron, Ohio to Gail and Madge Greathouse. Molly was a homemaker and a foster parent that raised and cared for many children. She enjoyed canning, cooking, baking, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Molly is survived by her children, daughters, Annette (Jeff) Claypool, Shannon (Timothy) Salisbury, Amy (Nathan) Barrett, Belinda (Nathan) Carpenter, Becky (Eugene) Long, and Elizabeth Waggoner; sons, John Caldwell Jr. (Jessica Hewitt), Charles James, Michael (Natasha) McCumbers; brothers, Dean Greathouse, Ronnie Greathouse, Richard Greathouse, Charles Greathouse; sisters, Sharon Greathouse, Charlotte Myers, Connie Burdette; twenty three grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, John "Big John" William Caldwell; brother Amos Greathouse; parents Gail and Madge Greathouse and grandparents. Molly was a loving wife, mother, "Nanny," and friend to all. A celebration of her life will take place at her home. Molly requested to be cremated and no graveside service. Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home will handle her request.
