UPDATE: POLICE ARREST MAN FOR BURGLARY, PETIT LARCENY, AND BRANDISHING

(12/30/2018)
State Police arrested Robert Scott Beckett, 34, Sunday night in Calhoun County and charged him with multiple felony counts.

He is charged with burglary, petit larceny, and brandishing, and is being held in Central Regional Jail with bond set at $25,000.

Police responded to a breaking and entering call from Kevin Roberts in the Letherbark area, finding that he discovered Beckett in his residence after returning home and that Beckett had stolen a gun, then walked away.

Troopers responded to Becket's residence nearby, hearing Beckett yelling loudly, he then came to the door with a knife in his hand, but allowed officers to take him into custody.

In the complaint, Roberts describes Beckett having a gun at another time, saying "he was looking down the barrel of a gun" held by Beckett.

The complaint says Roberts and Beckett's mother thought "they were going to die," describing numerous pieces of property dislocated.

Sgt. C. J. Weekley and Cpl. J. B. Hunt responded to the situation.
