James Lee Hakes, 50, of Grantsville, WV died Sunday December 2, 2018 at his home from a long-term illness. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on September 20, 1968. He was proceeded in death by his father Ronald G. Hakes and Sister Penny Hakes. His surviving family members are, his mother Frances Hakes of Grantsville, WV; two sisters Adreana Hakes of Clayton, Ohio and Tina Little of Millstone, WV; one son, Andrew Hakes of Clarksville, TN; two daughters, Diana Gregory of Wahiawa, Hawaii and Christina Hakes of Glasgow, KY; three granddaughters, Mollee, Lillian and Marlyanne; two grandsons, Leon and Navarre and several other family members. Jim served twelve years in the US Army and is a veteran of the Gulf War 101st Airborne. He worked at RPR Industries the last six years until he was no longer able. He enjoyed quizzing his fellow co-workers about music and other subjects. He loved his family and friends and is loved and will be truly missed by many.
