Seymour Settle, 80, of Newark, WV departed this life Dec. 1, 2018. He was the son of the late Otho and Goldie Campbell Settle of Apple Farm, WV. He graduated from Calhoun County High 1957 and served in the United States Army. He retired from Wirt County Board of Education as a Bus Driver. Seymour is survived by wife of 56 years, Marlyn. Sons; Rodney (Beth) Settle of Newark, WV and Daniel (Dawn) Settle of Williamstown, WV. Sister; Aretta Schoolcraft of Glenville, WV. Brothers; Charles Settle of Tuppers Plains, OH and George (Kathy) Settle of Newark, WV. Grandchildren; Stephen Settle of Elizabeth, WV, Tara Donley of Daytona Beach, Fla., Colten Settle of Huntington, WV, Sarah Settle of Huntington, WV, Sarah (Colton) Anderson of Catlettsburg, KY, David (Ashley) Smith of Newark, WV, Miriam (Adam) Beall of Elizabeth, WV and Luke (Emily) Smith of Huntington, WV. Brothers-in-law Kenneth Paxton of Spencer, WV and Ronzil Lynch of Mt. Zion, WV. Also nine Great Grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Seymour is proceeded in death by sisters; Adaline Snider, Idell Goff, Ona Paxton and Audrey Walter. brothers; Lee Roy, Virgil, Benjamin and Sheral Settle. Seymour will be greatly missed by family and a host of friends. According to his request there will be no service. He donated his body to medical research.
