ARMED HOLD UP - A Charleston man is facing a robbery charge after court records say he threatened to blow the victim's head off if he would not give him his money, keys and phone.

Brandon Joseph Carter, 33, has been charged with first-degree robbery, according to a criminal complaint from Kanawha County Magistrate Court.

On Saturday, Nov. 24, Carter pointed a gun at the victim's head in Charleston and demanded him to give him his money, phone and keys, the complaint said. Carter told the victim if he did not give him those things, he would blow the victim's head off.

The victim gave Carter the items and began yelling for help. As the victim was fleeing, Carter fired a shot at him.

According to the complaint, the two knew each other through work.

Carter is currently being held at South Central Regional Jail on a $10,000 or 10 percent cash bond.
