Dwayne Michael Corey Burgess 1988-2018, Spencer

(11/24/2018)
Dwayne Michael Corey Burgess 1988-2018. Hidden away in small towns are big hearts. Big hearts that still care so much about all the small things. Birthday parties, mom rushing you to sporting events, family vacations and holding the flashlight for dad. These are just a few of the memories that we will cherish with our loss.

On November 19, 2018 our Son, Brother, Cousin, Uncle, and Best Friend left this world.

Dwayne Michael Corey Burgess was born on August 15, 1988 in Charleston, West Virginia to mother Lisa Lupardus and father Mike Burgess. Corey graduated Roane County High School in 2006 and spent the last 10 years as a welder on the pipeline.

Corey is survived by his son Austin Sullivan who the family loves so much and we know is going to do great things; step-mother Robin Burgess; sisters Jessica Harper and Marly Stevenson; step-brother Shawn Blosser; nieces Hayley, Shaylyn and Ava Harper, Destiny Blosser and Ali Jo Stevenson; nephews Chad Blosser and Gunner Carter. Corey was also blessed with a few great people that he considered his brothers Cody May, Tyler May and Chancee Hensley.

He was proceeded in death by his step-sister Kelly Joe Blosser.

Services will be held on Sunday, November 25 at 12:00 pm at the TAYLOR-VANDALE FUNERAL HOME in Spencer, West Virginia. Burial will follow in the Ward/Gandee Chapel Cemetery near Spencer. Visitation will be from 10am to 12pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
