| ST. ALBANS SHOOTING - A woman is facing charges after a shooting in near St. Albans. Ashley Nicole Kyle, 23 of St. Albans, is facing charges of malicious assault and prohibited possession of firearm charges. Kyle is accused of shooting 35-year-old Michael Ward in the head while he was in a moving vehicle. Ward was taken to the hospital and was last listed in critical condition. According to the criminal complaint, Kyle allegedly hid from deputies, before being taken into custody. Kyle's bond was set at $500,000 cash. MCDOWELL MURDER - A man has been arrested after a fatal shooting Wednesday in McDowell County. West Virginia State Police Sgt. RA Daniel said a 41-year-old male was shot in the neck with a shotgun. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers responded about 3:30 a.m. to the home of Shane Hagerman, 25, in Raysal. An initial investigation determined that an altercation took place inside the home before leading outside where Hagerman allegedly shot the victim. Hagerman was arrested for first-degree murder, Daniel said. Troopers have not released the name of the victim. |
